Meet the Team
Andrea
Founder
Hi, my name is Andrea (she/her) and I’m obsessed with bitters 😬
If you’ve taken one of our cocktail classes, you may be surprised to know that I’m an introvert. I enjoy observing and taking the world in, but once you get to know me, I can be pretty outgoing.
I’m the kind of person that talks with my hands and enjoys gathering with friends, but the solitude only a remote backcountry hike can bring truly fills me up. I spend as much time outdoors with my dog and partner as I possibly can, but also love my job so much you’ll honestly find me in the lab ‘tinkering’ more often than not.
People always ask what my favorite bitters flavor is, and that is a hard question to answer because they’re all my babies… but I do find myself using the Blueberry Cardamom in my daily life more than any other flavor. My go-to cocktail will always and forever be an Old Fashioned (recipe for my current obsession below).
I’m really excited to introduce you to the Bitters Lab Team!
Aged Gin Old Fashioned
2 oz @beehivedistilling Barrel Reserve Gin
1/2 oz Demerara simple syrup
4 dashes Blueberry Cardamom Bitters
Stir all ingredients together with ice, then strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with an orange peel expressed over the glass.
Haley
PRODUCTION + shipping
Meet Haley! (she/her)
Haley began working as a seasonal employee in November 2020 helping with our holiday orders and production. She now works in the lab doing anything from packing jars of citrus to bottling bitters.
Her favorite bitters flavor is our Summer 2021 Bitters Lab Club release Lime Leaf (a Bitter Lab Club™ exclusive) which she actually helped develop!
Her favorite type of cocktail is anything with tequila (check out a recipe for her go-to as of late, below)
Proper Priest
2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Cointreau
1 oz mango purée
1 oz lime juice
1/2 oz agave syrup
2 dashes Habanero Lime Bitters

Ryan

Meet Ryan! (he/him)
Ryan began working with us during the Pandemic when we started teaching Virtual Cocktail Classes - he is the man behind the camera(s) during class!
Ry is an avid cocktail & beer lover. You can find him Camping with his beloved dog & partner, or sipping on some delicious brews at Fisher. His favorite cocktail is “anything Andrea makes him”… or a Negroni, like this one below.
Blue Negroni
1 oz Waterpocket Temple of the Moon Gin
1 oz Sweet Vermouth
1 oz St. Agrestis Bitter Inferno
2 dashes Blueberry Cardamom Bitters
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass, add ice & stir. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Spritz some bitters over the glass and garnish with an orange twist.
